We stayed at the Hudson House for a week long 80th birthday celebration.
This property was great in so many ways.
The rear yard/property had plenty of room for outside gatherings, including fire pits with seating, the unique summer house and trails in the woods leading to Raymond Brook. From the front of the property you have a beautiful view of the Hudson River, along with private access to it.
If you’re like us and aren’t able to spend a lot of time enjoying the beautiful outdoors of the Adirondacks, don’t worry, there is plenty of space inside. The kitchen is huge with everything you need for all of your cooking needs (trust me, we were cooking for 12). Plenty of space at the dining room table to enjoy dinner or family game nights. The living rooms gave us plenty of room for everyone to have a seat, relax and even watch a movie. The highlight of the first floor is definitely the front porch. Our family spent so much time out there just talking and watching the Hudson River flow by. It is so relaxing to sit out there with plenty of seating for everyone.
My wife and I have traveled the world for the past 16 years and I have to say that Nancy and Jody were the absolute most gracious hosts we have ever met. They went above and beyond during our stay. If we needed help with anything or a recommendation, they were on top of it. They even went as far as recommending a local mechanic when I was having an issue with my truck. That is top notch service. They are the true meaning of a “host”, not someone you are just renting a property from. They actually care and it shows.
Our entire family highly recommends the Hudson House to anyone visiting the Adirondacks. We will forever remember our trip here.

Our group of 10 stayed here for a week in July. The house was awesome, with plenty of room for everyone to hang individually or together. There's a beautiful enclosed front porch overlooking the Hudson where my elderly parents spent most of their time. The bedrooms were all clean and comfortable, as was the entire house. The kitchen may be the most well equipped one we've ever had. It made preparing dinner so easy. The basement was nice and it was great having the ping pong table. The one rainy day the kids put together a tournament. The Adirondack summer house was very cool although we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked - the weather was either damp or 90 and humid the week we were there, so it wasn't conducive to have a fire!
It was located well for us to do a variety of activities. We highly recommend renting a boat on Lake George, it's so clean and beautiful. We spent all day on the lake riding on a tube, jumping off the rocks, and swimming. The people at Little Harbor Boat Rentals were great, we'd go back to them in a flash. Definitely check out the Natural Stone Bridge and Caves, kids and adults really enjoyed it. The entrance looks cheesy but it was very interesting and beautiful. If you have some adventurous types, the Adirondack Xtreme Adventure course was a lot of fun.
All in all, we loved the house and the location and hope to come back!

Staying at the Hudson House was a fabulous experience! We had our family of 14 over the weekend for a reunion and everyone loved their stay. The home was spotless and beautifully maintained. Check in and check out was effortless and customer service all around was superb.
We visit a lot of rentals worldwide and easily rate the Hudson House as one of our top experiences!

My family has been enjoying time at the Hudson House for many years. It is the best of both worlds....an old home with all the charms that come with that as well as modern conveniences. The kitchen is well laid out and stocked batter than any home we have rented. The ski room downstairs is perfect along with it's own exit to the driveway. It is a quick 5 minute drive to the mountain. The beds are comfortable and nicely prepared with the clean hotel type linens. The whole house is very clean! Extremely important to us, especially when traveling with children. The layout of the house is definitely conducive to accommodate a large number of people. We feel very comfortable during our stay, like it is "our home" in the time we spend there. Nancy is lovely to work with and clearly strives to make a home perfect for a great vacation. We highly recommend the Hudson House!

Beautiful cozy home! Our three families had an amazing 3-day ski trip here. The kitchen has absolutely everything for cooking meals together. There was plenty of space for everyone's privacy but we loved being together in the beautiful common areas. We're tried out other rentals in the area but our group wanted to come back to this one- the house just has great energy! We are all jealous of the gear room - this was key for keeping us organized and getting our crew of little kids ready for skiing each morning. The owner is super-responsive and accommodating.

The Hudson House was just perfect for our family of 10! We enjoyed the home so very much, from the basement with easy access to gaming, storage for skis/coats/outdoor gear and ping pong tournaments, all the way up to the loft area where there are some comfy chairs and 2 twin beds! All three bathrooms were beautiful and well stocked with towels, wash cloths, soap and toilet paper.
The kitchen had all the essentials with easy to find items. Since we visited in December, we were able to use the enclosed entryway into the house for extra refrigeration, which was needed for drinks and some food. The refrigerator is large, but didn’t fit all that we brought along.
The furniture was super comfortable including the beds, the porch was a great place to have some quiet space and view the river across the street. We hiked the grounds, went into town to shop at the quaint shops, and relaxed with warm drinks by the fire. We will definitely rent again!
Nancy was a wonderful host. She emailed and texted back within minutes and was super helpful with any question we had. Be sure to check out all of the information on the website - the history of the house is a great story and there are tips for what to pack, what is close by, where to eat, etc.

We've been skiing Gore Mountain with family and friends for many years and as out family expanded we needed a home to accommodate all of us. Our friends recommended the Hudson House and what a beautiful place. If you are looking for a place to stay that is spacious, comfortable and clean then look no further. The house even has a room to hang your ski equipment to dry after a long day of playing in the snow. Kitchen is fully stocked and all the bedrooms were quite cozy. The owners were very attentive to our needs and any questions or concerns that we had were answered promptly. You can bet we will be back next ski season. Ray M.

The Hudson House was such a beautiful place to stay! It is a historical home that is beautifully maintained and rich in family history. It has tons of windows and a beautiful screened in porch. Each room has comfortable beds and high quality linens. The home has abundant seating, more than enough towels for each guest, a washer and dryer, and even a room for table tennis games. The size of this home was incredible with plenty of space for everyone! My kids loved the attic room, which felt like their own secret tower with window seats overlooking the property. The basement of the home is well thought out to accommodate ski equipment (Although we were not there to ski. Ours was a summer visit.) Each room is named after one of the ski runs on Gore Mountain. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of space for our group of 9. It could easily accommodate more. There is a side porch that is perfect to serve as a mud room for muddy or sandy shoes after hikes. The property that the Hudson House sits on is so beautiful! We saw a fawn sleeping peacefully right next to the Hudson River on our first day! It was magical! There is a lovely and short hike to an amazing waterfall right on the property. Pictures just don't do justice to the waterfall and the hike up the creek. It was a place that we would have been willing to hike a few miles to see, yet it was just a short stroll! Even though the water was cold, it was refreshing on a hot day to wade and even take a dip with our children. We enjoyed an evening cooking hot dogs and s'mores over the fire pit by the Adirondack summer house. We lit the citronella torch inside and enjoyed sharing ghost stories in its glow. The stars at night were just beautiful as well. We highly recommend the Revolution Rail experience just 4 minutes away. Strolling along North Creek's sidewalk to look at its beautiful tile mural was a treat. We also highly recommend the lovely drive to Lake George and then taking a sunset cruise on the Minniehaha. The calliope music played on the steamboat was so much fun, and the views were spectacular! Another recommendation is kayaking on Indian Lake. We found three waterfalls that spilled right into the lake! We were able to beach our kayaks and explore. It was such an incredible adventure. The Hudson House is a wonderful place to stay and relax right on the property. You don't have to go anywhere to enjoy your stay, but it is nice to know that in just a short drive there are plenty of adventurous things to do in the summer. From shopping and easy going strolls to kayaking, boating, or hiking, there are plenty of things to do near the Hudson House. Book your stay today! Jayme R.

We have rented the Hudson House the last 4 years for a ski weekend for a "college reunion". The Hudson House has been exceptional for our group of 5-6 couples. There's enough room for everyone to have a comfortable bed and enough bathroom space. The living space is very comfortable and kitchen well equipped for our needs. This group has rented many "ski houses" in the area before finding the Hudson House and this has been by far our favorite. We love how close it is to Gore and how close to North Creek if we have to stop and get some supplies. Very convenient location. We are already booked for next year and counting the days. Robert B.

The Hudson House is a true gem. We have been renting the property for the last 5 years and couldn't be happier. The house is conveniently located to Gore Mountain the village of North Creek. The house has so much to offer from a spacious and modern kitchen and dining room, beautifully decorated bedrooms, a cozy and comfortable living room with a fireplace, the convenience of 3 bathrooms, plenty of space for everyone to gather together and enjoy quality time, and it is newly renovated and spotless. It is spacious, clean and very comfortable for 3 families and conveniently located close to Gore Mountain. The house has a very warm inviting charm and a great kitchen. I have rented the Hudson House since 1997 for a group of Boy Scouts and their father's for a 3 night weekend at the end of January. The last Friday in January has always been a school holiday for our school children. So we planned this every year. Every year has been great, not always the weather but we love it. In 1998 we did not stay at the Hudson House because the realtor in North Creek that rented us the Hudson House in 1997 let us rent her 2 condos in the Gore Condo's. We went there because it had a pool. But the next year we went back to the Hudson house and now have been there for 22 years. This is a great place to have a winter ski vacation. The accommodations have changed for the better almost every year with some improvements. The house has come a long was from the old farm house in 1997. This was good for us because we would have had to watch the young scouts better with all the plush furniture that has been updated. I would recommend the Hudson House to any group or family for a comfortable and clean place to enjoy a vacation. If I were to make any improvements I would suggest two of the bedrooms have two single beds. It would be easier for the adults for privacy and sleep. We don't have many couples. Most are just old friends. The 3rd bathroom was a smart idea. The house as always been ready and clean with the driveway plowed. The kitchen is also set up for the most experienced cook to enjoy. Super clean, well stocked with kitchen supplies, spacious, great set up for a group. Updated house with a classic, home like feel to it. Basement level room was perfect for kids and adults. Recliner couch was super comfy for naps! The house was nicely remodeled. It accommodated all 3 families with a lot of space. Trail to waterfalls in backyard were a nice surprise. Very close to downtown North Creek and mountain. The owner communicated well before the visit. Would definitely recommend. Jessica P.

Hudson House is amazing. It is the perfect getaway for two families. We have stayed here before and love it. It is spacious, updated, clean and comfortable. It is a quick drive to the mountain. We had a recurring issue with a clogged sink and someone was there within an hour to see if we needed a plumber, and the caretaker fixed it. Nancy was wonderful to deal with. Our family has spent 16 Thanksgivings at the Hudson Hoiuse. It has become a family tradition enjoyed be young and old. Grand children and their parents start talking about it in July. Recent renovation upgrades were outstanding and made for a very comfortable stay. As advertised, everything in the house worked and when we arrived, the house was clean and very much in order. The house itself is a blend of new and Adirondack traditional. We will be back next year ( 2019 ). David G.
