Grocery Store?
TOPS Friendly Markets - 6308 US-9, Chestertown - (3.9 miles) Tops is a small local grocery store good for those missed items and basic supplies.
PriceChopper in Warrensburg (visible on the left upon exiting I87 Exit 23). If you want to stock up for your visit, the PriceChopper is much larger with a wider selection. Go back on I-87 until Exit 25 or drive through town and stop at the Deli Store and Oscars and continue following your GPS to Chestertown.

Housed in a gas station, this full size butcher shop will cut steaks to order and their sandwiches are sold by the pound.
Oscar's Adirondack Smoke House - Warrensburg https://oscarsadksmokehouse.com/ Oscar's has been a staple for 70 years with locally sourced smoked meats and cheeses.

WHERE TO EAT?
The Loon Restaurant and Tavern (Chestertown) (2 mins) Completely renovated and reopening on May 1, 2026. Consistently good food at reasonable prices. About 2 minutes from Pine Notch they have good hours for the summer and a varied menu (burgers, pastas, seafood, salads and great specials) with gluten free options. One of our go-to places.
Tommy Guns North (Chestertown) (6 mins) We are very excited to welcome Tommy Gun's North to the neighborhood. A known pizzeria in Warrensburg we were happy to drive to, they have great pizza, sandwiches, and other typical pizza place fare. The broccoli cheese bites and meatball subs are my go -to.
The Place (Chestertown) (1 min) The main landmark right before the Pine Notch Rd. turnoff, the Place is a local tradition and locally owned. Traditional Italian fare.
Loon Lake Market and Deli (Chestertown) (2 mins) Across the street from the Loon Lake Beach and Boat Launch, is a family owned convenience store and deli offering made to order sandwiches, soups, soft serve ice cream, basic groceries, local items and RV supplies. Friendly staff, it was our go-to during the renovations. Summer and Fall
Main Street Ice Cream Parlor (Chestertown) (6 mins) Housed in a yellow Victorian, the ice cream parlor has a traditional counter with swivel chairs, dining room and outdoor seating. Open for breakfast and lunch with a multipage menu and vegetarian options. After your meal, wander through their two floor gift store.
Cafe AdirondackRestaurant and Wine Room (Pottersville) (8 mins) A wonderful place with gourmet food at reasonable prices. The Bang Bang shrimp alone is worth making a reservation and going. Friends Lake Inn (6 mins)
Enjoy local, farm-to-fork cuisine at Friends Lake Inn. Chose a cozy dinner by the fireplace against a historic backdrop, paired with a good wine. Or have a more laid-back night at Birch Bistro, enjoying the game and a bite or sharing a relaxed meal with friends and family. Serving dinner Thursday – Monday from 5:00-8:00 pm. Crazy Loon Distillery (Chestertown) (12 mins) https://www.crazyloondistillery.com/ High quality, small batch bourbon, vodka and whisky made using locally sourced grains plus a large selection of NY based wine, beer, ciders and specialty cocktails. The tasting room pairs their drinks with easy to eat small plates such as pizzas, taquitos, soups and more. Cozy atmosphere and good service makes this worth a visit.
Kelly's Good Eats and More (Weverton) (10 mins) On your right at the 4 way stop in Weverton heading to Gore, Kelly's is a new place offering breakfast sandwiches, (breakfast bowls and even a breakfast pizza) hot and cold sandwiches, pizza (homemade dough), soups, stews, chili and salads. There are multiple "grab and go options" for breakfast, lunch and dinner which you can take back to the mountain or back to the house and just heat up after your day. There also are freshly baked breads (zucchini and apple raisen) - buy a loaf!
